Could you share some insights into your background and how you came to join GCX?
I spent over 20 years with AT&T, most recently in the Integrated Solutions business for Central Europe. Over the years, I held a variety of roles, from technical consulting to marketing support, always focused on helping global account teams navigate complex challenges. My work spanned multiple regions and disciplines, which gave me a broad view of the telecom and managed services landscape.
When the opportunity at GCX came up, it felt like an exciting next step. The company’s size, agility, and mindset appealed to me, especially the chance to bring my experience into a more hands-on, entrepreneurial environment where impact is immediate and visible.
What motivates you in your role at GCX, and how do you maintain your inspiration?
What motivates me most is the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, business, and customer impact. With a technical background and an analytical mindset, I’ve always enjoyed solving complex problems. But over the years, I’ve also discovered a strong sales and marketing side, I find real energy in shaping messages, understanding what resonates with customers, and helping teams position the right solution.
At GCX, I get to bring all of that together: collaborating with Sales, designing tailored solutions, and creating structure where there is ambiguity. Every customer engagement is different, and that keeps things fresh. I stay inspired by learning continuously, exchanging ideas with colleagues, and seeing the tangible difference our work makes for clients.
Is there a specific project or achievement at GCX that you are particularly proud of?
Since I only recently joined GCX, I haven’t been part of a major project yet, but I’ve already had the chance to engage with some fantastic colleagues across the organization. I’m currently focused on business development, especially in shaping our approach to new opportunities in the DACH region. One area I’m particularly excited about is exploring how AI can support our go-to-market activities and help us scale more effectively.
What really creates the excitement for me at GCX is the ability to shape things — to bring in new ideas, challenge the status quo, and help build something from the ground up. That sense of impact and ownership is incredibly motivating.
How do you approach challenges and overcome obstacles in your work?
I’m a very structured and analytical person by nature. When faced with challenges, I focus on breaking complexity down into manageable, understandable pieces, that’s where I excel. I believe that clarity creates momentum, and that even the most difficult problems can be tackled with the right structure and perspective.
At the same time, I always stay focused on the customer. For me, being a true advocate means not just accepting things as they are, but being willing to challenge internal details if they don’t align with what the customer needs. That balance, between structure and empathy, is how I approach problem-solving.
What role do your colleagues and team members play in your success at GCX?
One of the first things I noticed after joining GCX was how approachable and available people are, not just within my immediate team, but across the entire organization. There’s a genuine openness and willingness to collaborate that really sets the tone.
Everyone is ready to listen, offer support, or engage with new ideas. That creates a highly collaborative environment where things can move quickly and constructively. It’s not just about individual contributions, it’s about how we come together to create value, and that’s something I truly appreciate at GCX.
Are there any mentors or individuals who have had a significant impact on your career here?
It’s probably still a bit early to highlight specific individuals by name, but what has really stood out to me since joining GCX is the overall level of support and openness across the organization. From day one, I’ve felt genuinely welcomed, whether it was during onboarding, early conversations with colleagues, or initial deep dives into the business.
Everyone has been approachable, helpful, and willing to share their time and insights. That kind of environment makes a huge difference when you’re starting something new, it creates the confidence and momentum you need to find your footing quickly and contribute meaningfully from the beginning.
How has your role evolved since joining GCX, and how have you grown as a professional?
It’s still early days, but even in a short time my role has started to take shape with a clear focus on business development, particularly around how we can use AI technologies to support our go-to-market efforts more effectively. That focus has helped me sharpen my priorities and align quickly with where I can add value.
At the same time, I’m on a continued learning curve when it comes to AI, expanding my technical understanding and exploring how it can be applied in real, scalable ways. That blend of technical growth and constructive feedback from colleagues has not only helped me develop professionally but has also contributed to personal growth as I find my place within the GCX ecosystem.
What advice would you offer to new employees or those striving to excel in their careers at GCX?
Be open, be direct, and don’t hesitate to approach people. One of the things that makes GCX special is how approachable and collaborative everyone is, but you have to take the initiative. Don’t wait for others to come to you.
GCX has a startup-like energy, and that means you can shape your role, bring in new ideas, and really make an impact. But it also means you have to be proactive, take ownership, and be willing to step outside your comfort zone. If you do that, you’ll find a lot of support, and a lot of opportunity.
